Celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee with music from the 1953 Coronation

Blackstone-Ipswich Cambrian Choir Concert
Community event

The Blackstone-Ipswich Cambrian Choir is celebrating Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee with a concert of music from Her Majesty’s Coronation, from well-known works with long royal associations, such as Handel’s Zadok the Priest and Parry’s I was glad, renaissance works by Byrd and Gibbons, through to works written especially for the 1953 service by composers including Howells, Vaughan Williams, and Walton. Accompanied by organ and brass ensemble, and featuring a dramatic narration of the ceremony, this will be a grand celebration not to be missed!
